Asset Management
We undertake management of Servers, Desktops, Printers, Laptops, Network equipments, and Communication products. Our service scope:
1. Fault Management Support
- Trouble-shooting during PC/Crash/Hang/OS Crash.
- Hard Disk reformatting.
- Attending to Hardware Problems.
- Identification of Hardware failure.
- Co-ordinating with the vendors for repair of systems out of warranty/AMC.
2. Change Management
- Maintaining a detailed list of all the installed software and Hardware.
- Checking & Supervising new hardware deliveries & installation.
- Maintaining a working copy of all the softwares.
- Maintaining software/hardware change documents.
- Relocation/re-installation of PC/Communications hardware.
- Liaison/First level hand holding support for all Servers/ Hubs/ Switches/ Printers which are currently under AMC/warranty with other T.P.M / OEM.
- Providing standby spares if required, in consultation with the EDP in-charge.
- Procuring the consumables as needed from the respective suppliers as short-listed by the company.

3. Desktop Management
- Standardising desktop configuration & interfaces and ensuring uniformity in terms of CPU machine speed, hard disk capacity, Memory LAN cards as per the defined standards.
- Installation of Ethernet Cards/Sound Cards.
- Captioning & Labelling all hardware assets with stickers.
- Monitoring Disk space activity & capacity planning to ensure optimum performance.

4. Hardware Support
- Problem diagnosis & rectification for all PC's currently under warranty (First hand diagnostics).
- Services for installing add-ons.
- Service support for all peripherals. Spares to be provided by the vendors. Parts replacement for equipment covered under warranty shall be provided by the respective vendors.

5. Backup Management and Implementation
The backup activity is divided into two levels:
- Performing Scheduled System backups in co-ordination with the designated personnel to ensure quick recovery in the event of crash.
- Data backup in co-ordination with the users/database administrators. This involves planning the backup activity for the above levels and implementation of the same, regular updating of records/documentation and restoration of backup as and when required.

6. Server Management
- Administration of Servers to handle connectivity, user logging, NDS/Domain Management, Back up of Server configuration files, Health check, predictive failure analysis, fault arising situations and respectively handle such occasions.
- Actual Server Maintenance in pre and post failure situations.
- Monitoring disk space activity & capacity planning to ensure optimum performance.
- Monitoring Server Performance logs for errors and rectification of the same.
- Managing NT/ Novell/ Exchange.
